•Iberdrola

By 2010, the company had close to 5,000 MW of installed power with renewable energy sources, positioning itself as the leading private electrical producer and the second largest power generator in Mexico. In January 2011, the company announced a 365 million dollar investment to build two projects in Mexico: an electrical power co-generation plant in Guanajuato and a wind farm of over 20 MW in Oaxaca.


•Acciona

In 2010, Acciona ranked eighth among companies investing in Mexico. With the construction and exploitation of three wind farms in the state of Oaxaca, the company made an investment of 600 million dollars and generated close to 1,200 direct jobs and 1,000 indirect jobs. In addition, Acciona Energía México owns and operates more than 50% of wind investments made in Mexico. In 2009, it completed assembly of the EURUS wind park, which has a total installed capacity of 250.5 MW and supplies 25% of CEMEX's power needs in Mexico.


•EDF Energies Nouvelles

In May 2010, the company announced the start-up of the La Mata La Ventosa wind park, with a total installed capacity of 67.5 MW. The park is located in the Tehuantepec Isthmus, in the state of Oaxaca. The power generated in this park will be used by Walmart Mexico over a 15-year period.


•WalMart

In Mexico, Walmart purchases energy from a local wind farm to supply 348 of its facilities, and has installed solar panels on two of its premises. One, in the state of Aguascalientes, is considered the largest photovoltaic solar installation in Latin America, with 1,056 solar panels that curb the release of close to 140 tons of CO2 into the environment.


•Jatco México and Desarrollos de Gestión e Innovación

In February 2011, both companies announced a project to generate electric power through a station comprising 16,889 photovoltaic modules, each with a capacity of 225 W , for a total capacity of 3.80 MW and an estimated annual production of 9.70 GW/hour, which will cover both partners' electrical power needs.


•Sol Systems

In January 2011, the government of the state of Durango announced the installation of the first photovoltaic solar concentration plant in Latin America, to be built on a 3 hectare surface area in the Durango Logistics and Industrial Center (CLID) and will have an initial power of 500 KW, from a total of 10 MW
